upporting Java 1.0
The Ultimate Button Bar Version 2 requires a browser that supports Java 1.1 (including
the Java AWT 1.1, which some versions of Netscape Navigator 4 do not support).
If a visitor to your site is using a browser that does not fully support Java 1.1, then if the visitor
tries to access a page that contains version 2 of the Ultimate Button Bar, the visitor
will be presented with a page that has an empty area on the page where the applet should be.
This is not good.
While it's not possible to magically update the visitor's browser with Java 1.1, it is possible
to (almost magically) provide an alternative display for the visitor using one of
the solutions below.

intended to represent a solution to supporting Java 1.0 browsers).

Using the UBBApplet class
Included with the Ultimate Button Bar package is a special UBBApplet class that can be
used to provide an alternate display for older browsers that support only Java 1.0. This topic
discusses how the special applet is used.

Using the Ultimate Button Bar Version 1
If you have purchased version 1 of the Ultimate Button Bar, then you can use version 1 of
the applet together with version 2 to provide a button bar for all browsers that support
Java. This topic discusses how to use both Ultimate Button Bar applets in combination.

Using the UBBinitErr Parameter
Some versions of Netscape Navigator 4.0 do not fully support the Java AWT that is part of the
Java 1.1 specification. This topic discusses how to use UBBinitErr applet parameter to
provide support for a version of Navigator that has an incomplete implementation of Java 1.1.
