You may manually scroll the text by dragging in the applet area.

Notice how the green and the gold Christmas balls in the background move from behind the scrolling text to in front of the scrolling text. Also, the top blue Christmas ball is drawn behind the scrolling text, while the bottom red Christmas ball is drawn in front of the scrolling text.
